EPSON ColorFast Pigment Based Inks

For the ultimate in image quality, durability and lightfastness, EPSON

has developed ColorFast ink incorporating EPSON Micro Encapsulation

technology. When used with EPSON’s specialist range of ColorFast media,

it is possible to produce large format colour prints with a longevity in

excess of 200 years.

EPSON Micro Encapsulation technology encloses each

pigment particle in a resin coating, enabling penetration

into the media substrate and the formation of a smooth

durable coating. Prints using this revolutionary new ink

technology also feature superior colour stability for

accurate colour measurement, greatly improved print

durability, and a very wide colour gamut, similar to that

of EPSON dye based ink.

Dye Based Inks

The EPSON Stylus Pro 7000/9000 printers feature 6 colour Photo

Reproduction Quality™ printing, each colour being provided in high

capacity ink cartridges. EPSON QuickDry™ dye based ink is noted for its

exceptional vividness and brilliance, and is dry to the touch virtually

instantaneously.

Coupled with pinpoint accuracy and the perfect dot shape, EPSON Micro

Piezo™ technology enables outstanding results. Whether ﬁne line drawings

and colour rendering for CAD applications, smooth, subtle tonal transitions

from proofing applications, highly detailed, colourful imagery for

GIS/mapping applications, or large areas of solid colour for signage

applications, the quality of output obtained from these printers is

second to none.
