Transporting the Scanner

When transporting the scanner over a long distance, or storing it

for an extended period, you need to lock the scanner’s carriage to

prevent damage. Follow the procedures below:

1. Turn on the scanner and wait until the carriage moves left to

the home position. Then turn off the scanner.

2. Turn the transportation lock to the locked position by using

a coin or similar disc and secure the carriage.

Note:

If the scanner is broken, the carriage may not automatically return to

the home position. In this case, lift the right side of the scanner and hold

it up until the carriage comes to rest on the left side of the scanner. Then

turn the transportation lock to the locked position.
