The Epson Scan screen will pop up. (If the Full
Auto Mode or Professional Mode screen appears,
change to Home Mode using the drop down
menu at the top.)
Select Normal from the Preview menu next to the
Preview button. Then click the Preview button to
preview your scan.
• In the Preview window, adjust the dotted selector box around the area you want
to scan, if necessary. To do this, grab the dotted box from an edge and/or the
corners and drag it to the size desired. You can also use the green Auto image
select button on the upper left (under Marquee) to do this, although it may not always
work correctly.
• Specify the Document Type, Image Type, and Destination settings to match your
images. If you select Screen/Web as the Destination, the resolution will automatically
be set to 96 dpi, selecting Printer sets resolution at 300 dpi, and selecting Other
allows you to set your own resolution manually. (See p.7.)
• Click Scan
• Close the EPSON Scan window when the scan is completed. You MUST close it out
completely in this mode in order to proceed to the next step!
o If you selected Scan with Options above, a screen will then open showing
thumbnail images of scanned items. Here, you can rename an image file,
choose not to save an image (by unchecking the box below it) and choose to
scan additional items by clicking the Scanner icon in the lower left corner.
When finished scanning, click Save. [This opens Photoimpression! Just
close it!]
