Troubleshooting
General System Problems
This section describes problems you may encounter with systems that do not produce POD
error messages. A series of possible solutions is provided for each type of problem in two
formats: a flowchart and a stepby-step text description.
Note Retry the system after you have performed the suggested solution. Only go on to the
next step when the suggested solution fails.
For certain problems, a hardware test is available as one of the options of the System
Diagnostics. You can find the System Diagnostics program on the Reference diskette; user
instructions are in the User’s Guide and a summary can be found in Appendix B of this
manual.
Power or Lock-up Problems
If there is a problem with the computer’s power or the system locks up, see the suggestions
