DRIVE MODULES
Drive ASSY. Main: Includes the Motor Assembly Main (Main Motor)
and the Gear Cluster. The Main Motor
g
enerates the drive power, and the Gear Cluster
distributes the drive power to the Roll Assembly
Re

istration, Drum and BTR, and Drive
Assembly-F/P.
Drive ASSY.-F/P: Transmits the drive power from the Drive
Assembly Main to the Roll Assembly Exit Out
and the Roll Fuser (also called Heat Roll), Roll
Assembly Exit, and optional Duplex Unit. The
transmission of the drive power to the Roll Fuser
is switched on and off by a floatin

idler
g
ear.
When the Cover Assembly Exit is closed, a
molded tab of the Cover presses down on the
floatin
g
idler
g
ear to en
g
a
g
e it with the Roll
Fuser
g
ear. When the Cover is open, the tab of
the Cover releases the floatin
g
idler
g
ear. The
floatin
g
idler
g
ear then disen
g
a
g
es from the Roll
Fuser drivin
g
g
ear and interrupts the drive
power transmission to the Fuser.
