TO INSTALL MRJ 2.0:

1. Read the Apple Computer, Inc. Software License and click Agree to install the software.

2. Click Install.

Some ﬁles are installed.

3. Click Quit.

You are now ready to conﬁgure the ColorWise Pro Tools connection to the RIP Station, as

described below.

Installing the color reference ﬁles

There are two new PANTONE text ﬁles for Back Light Film: P5BLF14C.TXT, for

PANTONE colors on coated media, and P5BLF14U.TXT, for PANTONE colors on

uncoated media. Copy these ﬁles from the User CD to the location of your choice.

ColorWise Pro Tools connection for Windows and Mac OS

Before you can start using ColorWise Pro Tools, you must conﬁgure the connection to the

RIP Station. Changes to your RIP Station or network may require you to modify the

conﬁguration.

NOTE: Only one user can be connected to ColorWise Pro Tools at a time. You will get an

error message if you try to connect when another user is already using ColorWise Pro Tools.

Conﬁguring the connection

The ﬁrst time you use ColorWise Pro Tools, you are prompted to conﬁgure the connection

to the RIP Station. Windows uses the same conﬁguration for ColorWise Pro Tools and

Fiery Downloader, so any change in conﬁguration affects both utilities.

NOTE: ColorWise Pro Tools functions only over TCP/IP networks.

NOTE: The Windows and Mac OS dialog boxes for conﬁguring the connection to the

RIP Station are almost exactly the same. The dialog boxes that follow show the Windows

interface.
