TO INSTALL THE ICM PROFILES FOR WINDOWS 95/98:

1. On the User Software CD, open the ICM folder.

2. Copy the ICM proﬁle from the folder that corresponds to the media and resolution you use

to the Windows\System\Color folder on your hard disk.

3. In the Windows\System\Color folder, right-click the ICM proﬁle and select Install in Place

(Windows 95) or Install Proﬁle (Windows 98).

When the proﬁle has been correctly installed, its icon appears highlighted in the Color

folder.

In Windows 98, you can assign a selected ICM proﬁle to multiple printers with the

Associate option. This option allows you to associate a proﬁle with your choice of print

devices, eliminating the need to reset the ICM proﬁle each time you print to another

printer on your network.

NOTE: Once a proﬁle has been installed, you should not delete the ﬁle without ﬁrst

uninstalling it. Deleting an installed ICM proﬁle may produce unexpected results.

TO ASSOCIATE THE ICM PROFILE WITH DIFFERENT DEVICES:

1. Right-click on an ICM proﬁle in the Windows\System\Color folder and select Associate.

2. In the Associate Device tab of the Proﬁle dialog box, click Add.

The device appears in the Associated Devices section of the tab. Devices added to the list

will be associated with the speciﬁc ICM proﬁle until they are removed.

3. Click OK.

Installing the color reference ﬁles

There are two new PANTONE text ﬁles for Back Light Film: Fiery Stylus Pro 5000

BLF14.CT, for PANTONE colors on coated media, and Fiery Stylus Pro 5000 BLF14.UT,

for PANTONE colors on uncoated media. Copy these ﬁles from the User Software CD to

the location of your choice.

Installing user software on a Mac OS computer

The name of the PostScript Printer description ﬁle (PPD) is now “Fiery LX Stylus Pro 5000

v1.3.” A new utility, ColorWise Pro Tools, provides all the functionality of Fiery Print

Calibrator and more.

Installing ColorWise Pro Tools for Mac OS

Fiery Print Calibrator has been replaced with ColorWise Pro Tools. ColorWise Pro Tools

provides users with greater control of color. Before you begin installation, determine where

you want to install ColorWise Pro Tools on your hard disk. By default, the installer places it

in a folder named “ColorWise Pro Tools” on the top level of your hard disk.
