Printing From a Graphics Application
FastRIP
TM
allows you to print directly from Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator,
Macromedia Freehand, QuarkXpress and CorelDraw. Any customizations you make in
the application will be imported by FastRIP
TM
, including halftone dot frequency, dot
shape, angle of dots, color trapping and overprinting.
Printing with Photoshop
Here are the steps necessary to output from Adobe Photoshop on a Macintosh OS:
1. Select the FastRIP Epson Desktop Printer from the printer icon in the upper right
menu bar on the desktop or choose FastRIP LW 8.7 in the Chooser.
2. Open Photoshop and
the graphic file you
wish to print.
3. Create the color
separations, these
are called “Channels”
in Photoshop. Place
the Preview Eye next
to any channel you
want to output.
4. From the File menu
choose the Page
Setup menu item.
5. The Page Setup
dialog will open.
Choose the FastRIP Epson printer and choose the appropriate paper (film) size
and orientation. While still in the Page Setup dialog, verify that the correct Page
Size is selected.
6. Go to File>Print with Preview and select the
Page Setup menu.
