Adobe Illustrator

Most programs don’t need to have a PPD file

loaded when you print, however newer versions of

Adobe Illustrator require that you have a PPD

available. The PPD files on a MAC are located in

the Macintosh HD>Applications>FastRIP>PPD

folder. The PPD’s will be called FastRIPTM _STYL

(printer#).ppd.

1. To print from Illustrator, select the File>Print.

Expand the General menu and select

Adobe. Click on the button labeled

Separation Setup.

2. In the Separation Setup window click on Open PPD.

3. Go to Macintosh HD>System

Folder>Extensions>Printer

Descriptions. In the Printer

Descriptions folder select the PPD file

Epson Color Stylus * and click

Open.

4. In the Separation Setup window put a

Printer Icon next to the spot colors to

print. Set the Page Size and Orientation.

Set Emulsion to Up (Right Reading) and

Image to Positive. Select each spot color

to set the Frequency and Angle. Click Ok.

5. In the main print window click on Print.
