Listed below are model specific ink cartridge loading instructions:

Epson 4000- Insert an UltraChrome Photo Black (T-5433) or FastINK

cartridge in slot number 5. If an Epson Matte cartridge is inserted into slot

number 5, contact our Support Department for a replacement.

Epson 4800 when used with FastRIP

HD PRO HS- Insert a FastINK

cartridge in slots 5 through 8. Be advised you should only print on a

waterproof film like FastPOS

Epson 7800 and Epson 9800- Insert an Epson UltraChrome Photo Black

(T-5433), Epson dye-based ink or FastINK

cartridge in slot number 1.

Note: Epson UltraChrome Ink only works with waterproof film like FastPOS

WP. Epson UltraChrome ink will NOT print film transparencies.

Be Advised: Each time you power on your printer, some ink is used to prime

the print heads. Even if the majority of your printing jobs use only one color

(mostly commonly black), you will eventually need to refill or replace the other

color cartridges.

Installing FastRIP

on a Macintosh OS9 or OSX

MAC OS 8.6 - 9.2.2

1. A computer to printer connection method must be selected. There are only

three ways to connect the Epson - USB to USB (not all Epson printers

support this connection), USB to Parallel Port or Ethernet. A serial port

connection is too slow to properly transfer data from the RIP.

Only Belkin or Epson USB cables will work with FastRIP

part# C-USB-PK4) However, if you use a Belkin cable, it will not be

recognized by the regular Epson driver. You must use the Epson USB

cable with the regular Epson driver on a MAC.

1. Install the regular driver for your inkjet from the Epson Macintosh driver

CD. DO NOT install the optional Epson Stylus Pro RIP.

2. Plug the USB Dongle into any available USB port.

3. Insert the FastRIP

CD and double-click on the FastRIP

CD icon.

Double-click on the Installer icon and follow the on-screen prompts from

Easy Install
