4. Go to Macintosh HD>FastRIP and double-click on the FastRIP

icon.

will open and you can enter your product serial number. Click

on the Options menu and Output Selection. Choose your new printer, port

and device.

Note: If the RIP does not recognize or find your Dongle, it will not open

properly. If this occurs, remove the Dongle, reboot your computer and

reinstall the program and drivers. If you are still unable to open FastRIP

contact our Support Department.

5. You must now create a Desktop Printer. Locate the FastRIP folder on the

Macintosh HD and double-click on the application called PS Desktop

Printer Utility. Select FastRIP LW 8.7 - “Create Desktop” FastRIP (direct).

Select a PPD file of Epson Color Stylus * (the asterisk is your particular

printer model) and name the printer. Save it to your Desktop.

6. FastRIP

is now ready for use.

www.FastFILMS.com/FastRIP/users/.

2. A computer to printer connection method must be selected. There are only

two ways to connect the Epson - USB to USB (not all Epson printers have

this connection), USB to Parallel Port or Ethernet. A serial port connection

is too slow to properly transfer data from the RIP.

part# C-USB-PK4) However, if you use a Belkin cable, it will not be

recognized by the regular Epson driver. You must use the Epson USB

cable with the regular Epson driver on a MAC.

Note: When connecting the computer to the printer, first turn the printer

ON, and then turn the computer ON. This will help the computer recognize

the Epson printer.

3. Install the regular driver for your inkjet from the Epson Macintosh driver

CD. DO NOT install the optional Epson Stylus Pro RIP.

4. Plug the USB Dongle into any available USB port.
